From Imagination to Delivery…

I offer a free consultation. We talk either in person or over phone/zoom. Describe what you are looking for and gather basic general information. Is it an end table made from walnut or a modern style desk? I always recommend before the meeting that the customer finds 3 pictures of things similar to what they are looking for. While I will definitely help you come up with ideas, its good to have a general idea of what you are looking for to point us in the right direction. If you ask me to do a 100% copy of someone else design, I will politely decline the job.

Next step is to design the custom piece. I usually take a base design deposit of $100. Depending on the scale of the project it may take a day, or it may take me a month, but I will try and give you a rough idea at the end of the consultation of how long the first design iteration will take. The order I will work on designs is based on when I receive the design deposit and we have our consultation. When done I will share the design and quote with you for approval. We will most likely do this a couple times before the design is finalized.

If you approve of the design and price, I have a 50% deposit required before I start buying material. Yes, of course the design deposit counts as part of this 50%. This makes sure I can cover the cost of the material for the build. I then add you to the list of projects and inform you what position in line you are. Typically, I buy the lumber right away, that way the lumber ready and usually fully prepped. I do all the builds on a first in first out bases. Both the build deposit and design approval signature will be needed before any work is done.

When the custom piece is finished and fully dry, I will let you know it’s ready. Before pickup/delivery the remaining balance must be paid up. While I will send photos and let customers inspect their new custom piece before final payment, no pickup or delivery will happen until final payment is received. Sorry! NO EXCEPTIONS. Unless otherwise agreed on, you will have 30 days from notice of finish to pickup before I start charging a storage fee.

You are more than welcome to pickup your custom furniture yourself. If you are within an hour of my location (63146), I do have a truck and a standard delivery fee. If you are over an hour we can work a specialized quote out. Delivery days will be determined when the custom piece of furniture is finished. Keep in mind, if there is any chance of rain on delivery day I will default to another day.
